Within my short stories, I often find myself drawn to the exploration of horror and tragedy, which is uniquely framed through the Black gaze. Characters confront societal norms and internal struggles, resulting in a haunting narrative that unravels the intersections of identity and trauma. Each story often adds another layer to it, ranging from queerness to womanhood to folklore. Through visceral imagery and poignant prose, each tale evokes fear and empathy, challenging readers to reflect on the multifaceted nature of existence within marginalized communities.
